Ron Hamilton is commonly known to many people as "Patch The Pirate".

The message inside the CD cover reads...
It's hard to describe the emotions that have continued to flood my soul since my dad went home to heaven. Even though Dad had Alzheimer's disease for the last twelve years of his life, I still wasn't ready for him to leave. He was me hero. He was my friend. He and my mother raised three kids to love God; and by God's grace, we are all serving our Lord today.

This recording is first of all, a tribute to a godly man; however, it also is an attempt to communicate what a father should be. My sister, Marty, and brother, terry, joined me on several songs and made it seem just like "old times" around the piano at home. Some of the selections were my dad's favorites, and sere were written especially for this recording. I wrote my Father's Old Guitar and Goodnight based upon my own "precious memories" of my father.

Working on this recording brought me a lot of joy and a lot of tears. But most of all, it brought into sharp focus the really important things in life. My father loved the Lord with of his heart, and he loved those around him more than he loved himself. It's quite a humbling revelation to be sitting at your father's funeral, and to realize that the "ordinary" man you called "Dad" was perhaps the wisest man you'd ever known. I thank God that I can look back over the years and genuinely say, "Thank you, Dad, for letting me see Jesus in you."

Rejoicing In The Lord,

Ron "Patch" Hamilton
