Voices Of Revival Octet -- High King Of Heaven
The message inside the CD cover reads...
Mr. Regal has had an extensive career in vocal music that has spanned both the United States and Canada. He has actively participated in evangelistic outreach via music and counseling. For a number of years, he was Minister Of Music in five outstanding fundamental Baptist Churches. He also served as Artist-in-Residence at the Tennessee Temple University until 1983, where he taught several music-related courses and directed the University's 150-voice choir. Today, Robert Regal continues to aid Bible colleges and train many vocal students. More importantly, he is leaving an honorable legacy and committing truth to faithful men who will be able to train others also. Continuing the calling at age 79, he recently soloed with the BCM choir and orchestra in Mendelssohn's Elijah, and joined the Voices For Revival Octet to make this recording. Mr. Regal currently resides near Chattanooga, Tennessee, with his dear wife Bobbi. It is our hope that this album can, in a small way, honor him, and bring true worship to the High King Of Heaven. Voices Of Revival Octet The Voices Of Revival Octet is a group of eight men dedicated to the cause of revival and evangelism both in the United States and around the world. These men are full-time students at Baptist College of Ministry and Theological Seminary. Each of them is called to preach, and is preparing to serve the Lord in full-time ministry. This group came together for the first time in the fall of 2008 for the recording of Only Thou Art Holy, as members of a twenty voice chorale from Baptist College of Ministry. It was from this chorale that the Lord clearly led in the formation of the men's octet. The group traveled together as an ensemble during the spring and summer of 2009. During that time, they had the opportunity to minister in churches throughout the South as well as churches along the East Coast. It is the earnest desire of each octet member that the Lord Jesus be glorified through godly music that is not influenced by a worldly sound or philosophy. Understanding that God is the primary audience of sacred music, it is their prayer that the music and text will draw the listener into a closer relationship with Him -- for He alone is worthy to be praised. | ||||
