When Rudy Atwood entered the recording studio in Chicago, IL on October 25, 1988, he had no way of knowing that this would be the last album he would ever record. As he sat down to play, Rudy marveled at the tone of the 9 1/2 foot Bosendorfer concert grand piano from Germany. Having never played one before, he remarked that the sound was "indescribable." The music he played that day became the basis for this recording -- the only album of Christmas music Rudy Atwood ever produced.

Rudy Atwood was the pianist on the Old Fashioned Revival Hour radio broadcast from 1937 until 1969. When he died in 1992, shortly before his 80th birthday, he had served 68 years in the music ministry and had earned the title "Dean of Gospel Pianists."
