Old Fashioned Revival Hour Quartet -- Golden Collection
The message inside the CD cover reads... The quartet started originally started in 1933 as the Goose Creek Quartet at the Country Church of Hollywood (California). In 1937, the quartet also began singing on the Old Fashioned Revival Hour radio broadcasts. The songs on this album were taken from live radio broadcasts in 1957 and 18=958, and were digitally re-mastered from the original 16" radio transcriptions. Two songs, "This World Is Not My Home" and "I Am On The Battle-Field" were taken from the January 12, 1958 broadcast--The last time the quartet would sing On The Old Fashioned Revival Hour. We Hope you will be richly blessed by the music of the Old Fashioned Revival Hour Quartet which many believe to be the finest Gospel quartet of all time. This album features: John Lundberg, first tenor; Jack Coleman, second tenor; Ken Brown, baritone; Art Jaissle, bass; Rudy Atwood, pianist; and George Broadbent, organist.
