On November 10, 2000, youngest sister, Natalie Joy Lehman, was born with Downs Syndrome and a heart defect. On May 22, 2001, Natalie had major open-heart surgery, she nearly died. God worked a miracle, and Natalie grew healthy and strong in the two and one-half years that followed. Shortly after she turned three, Natalie was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia. She has suffered greatly with the side effects of chemotherapy. She is such a trooper, and we love her daily.

For a time, I questioned God why He would allow Natalie to suffer so and why He chose to place my family and I through this "fire." But the same God Who said in Isaiah 43:2 that he would be with me through any trial tenderly changed my whys into "I'll trust you, Lord, through I do not understand." God is so good--all the time--no matter what you or I are going through.

It is my desire to be a comfort and an encouragement through this recording. Are you, my friend and listener, going through the fire--a trial that seems too hard to bear? Remember our precious Lord is walking right there beside you. He promises the He is with you.

Please remember that the hottest fires produce the purest gold. Job 23:10 says, "But he Knoweth the way that I take: when he hath tried me, I shall come forth forth as gold." When you go through the fire, determine to allow God to make you a sweeter, purer Christian for Him.
