This CD is lovingly dedicated to our sister Brooke and her husband Michael who will be leaving this year (2006) to go to Congo, Africa, as missionaries. The song, How Will they Hear?, is the theme song of their hearts. The song, In The Arms Of God, written by Heather's husband Dennis is especially for Michael and Brooke, expresses the source of our comfort and security as we bow to God's will for their lives. We are so proud of them!

Michael and Brooke, though you are truly "Across The Miles," may it help to know that all of us here are praying for you. We love you so much.

How Will They Hear?

Vs. 1: Darkness overshadows the little village of his birth
          His family all asleep, he lies alone.
          Gazing up toward heaven, a little tear falls to the earth
          And he wonders if his sorrows are known
          His body racked with pain from his father's disdain,
          He lifts his hand and whispers in the night, "If there's a God up above,
          Please send me someone in love to comfort me and show me what is right."

Vs. 2: His brow was creased and wrinkled, his hands were calloused and hard;
          His hair was gray, his body stooped with age.
          But his eye possessed a twinkle, and his gaze shot through my heart;
          His voice was strong, he looked at me and said,
          "The harvest fields are white, and I have labored all my life.
          Now who will go and stand in my place? The people there must hear
          That Jesus Christ is near. Step forward now, the work of God embrace."

MY COMMENTS
This is a six member female group of women that are all sisters. Their names are: Ashley, Tara, Heather, Candace, Brooke, and Amber Hooker. Their dad, Mr. Bob Hooker, works as a staff member at Hyles-Anderson Baptist College in Crown Point, Indiana.
