Fred Bock began playing the piano at
the age of six and moved to the organ when he was twelve. Since then his career
as a church and recording artist have blossomed world-wide. He has recorded
eleven cassettes and compact discs on the Summit label. Fred is Director of
Music at First Presbyterian Church in the Los Angeles (CA) area, where he also
directs a large auditioned choir. In the recording field, Fred's organ playing
can be heard on many religious albums accompanying singers, and in motion
pictures where organ music is required, including several Disney productions. On
this album recorded in Octavo Hall at the Allen Organ Company in Macunga, PA the
rich, full sounds of the organ are well demonstrated by the skills and mastery
of Fred Bock. some selections are soft and tender in their rendition, others
majestic and climatic. All are played with Fred's own wonderful sense of melody
and harmonic interest which have characterized his playing for many years.
