Cary Schmidt -- Quiet Moments With Christ (Volume 1)
The message inside the CD cover reads... They have become some of the most memorable moments of my life. It all began as my wife and children were visiting Grandma and Grandpa, which left me home alone. (I hate being home alone.) Rather than enjoying an evening of wrestling or reading Dr. Seuss with our boys, I was left to be agitated by the creaks and cracks of the empty house for the evening. (Did I mention I hate being home alone?) Well, It wasn't long before I found my way to the keyboards and the silence of the house began to give way to the rich melodies of some of my favorite songs, which gave way to some very precious Quiet Moments with Christ. What began as an annoyingly quiet evening, alone in the house, evolved into many late hours of worship, thanksgiving, praise, adoration, and personal commitment to my Saviour. (Which took my mind off of the creaks and cracks.) It truly was wonderful time. Arranging and singing these great songs that evening drew me away from the day's struggles and into a quiet time of growth in the Lord's presence. These moments stirred within me a stronger consecration to the Lord and evoked a spirit of wonder and thanks for His love for me. Well, the evening passed and I have lived beyond the home alone syndrome, to enjoy many more wrestling matches and Dr, Seuss books with the kids, but I truly tre4asure the times that I can draw close to God to in a few Quiet Moments. As you listen to these familiar hymns, I encourage you to rehearse the words in your heart, sing them aloud, let them renew your love and re-ignite your passion for Christ. Treasure your quiet moments with Christ. Then, go get a Dr. Seuss book, grab your kids, a couple of Pop-Tarts, some chocolate milk, and an easy chair and savor some of the deeper things of life! may this music encourage your life whenever and wherever it may be played. It may be in your quiet time, your office, your car, or as background music for Dr. Seuss. I have only one requirement of you, the listener enjoy! Sincerely, Cary Schmidt | |||||||||||
