Here is an example of one these historical outlines for one of the songs.....

My Faith Looks Up To Thee
John 6:68 - Ephesians 3:12 - Psalm 118:8

As with many hymns, this music was written long after the words were penned. This melody was written by Lowell Mason in 1832. As he was preparing to publish a collection of hymns, he approached Ray Palmer for lyrics to be included in the collection. Palmer had written this poem of praise two years earlier while he was preparing to be ordained. Mason was so impressed with the poem that he quickly wrote the music to this timeless hymn. Later in life, Palmer focused his attention on music education and is known as "the father of public school music in America."
