The message inside the CD cover reads...
"Give Me Jesus" is the heart-cry of spiritually desperate people. It is a realization that the world, with all of its glitter, does not solve the soul issues of man. The Gospel tells the story of many desperate people: the woman at the well found that joy can come only from the Water of Life; the blind man saw that only the Light of the World illumines the soul; the troubled woman, with her issue of blood, fell before Jesus to hear Him say, "Go in peace." All of these and others desperately needed the intervention of a loving Savior.

These examples illustrate our need for the Gospel. Every one of us entered this world spiritually lost and enslaved to sin. We needed to be rescued; we needed hope, and we couldn't do anything on our own to provide that hope. But God in His mercy became man to take our sin upon Himself on the cross. Jesus died so that we might live an abundant life on earth and an eternal life in Heaven.

The Gospel is not only the message of hope for the unsaved to escape the judgment of God, but it is the believer's only hope to escape the power of sin on a daily basis. The same heart-cry of "Give Me Jesus" that began our salvation is the same cry of dependence with which the Christian is to live.

Christy and I have found great joy in serving the Lord with so many Christ--loving friends. Our fellowship with these pilgrims is sweet, and their focus on the eternal is sharpening. Steve Pettit, thank you for your friendship, vision and influence in our lives. Because of your investment, our lives and ministry are richer. Our family, ministry and this project have been wonderfully touched by the sacrificial service of our co-laborers and friends, Aaron and Stephanie Coffey. We love you.
